Stavro Michel

Stavro Michel needs little to no introduction to Cape Town music lovers.

Most people will recognise him as the founder and front man for well known band Tuxedo, but Stavro is also an accomplished solo artist in his own right. He is also the grandson of the composer of that famous SA hit and folk song “Suikerbossie”.

An accomplished Master of Ceremonies, businessman, musician, singer and auctioneer and popular
DJ from the 70's and 80's, Stavro released his hit single “Count the Seasons “in 1987 which reached
number one on national radio stations.

The band Tuxedo was founded in 1985 and become one of Cape Town's most desirable function bands due to their professionalism and performance.
As a result of many requests from clients, Stavro launched himself as a solo artist in 2008.

With a huge repertoire spanning from the 1950's to now, this consumate performer is sure to entertain you whether he be performing at a restaurant, pub or market.
