Matthew Reid

Matthew Reid trained in clarinet performance at UCT and the Royal College of Music in London. He won the SASOL prize for young musicians in 1986. He was the director of the annual Yiddish Song Festival in the Baxter Theatre for eleven years. He is part of the French Quartet, Ooh a La, a Balkan Klezmer band, a jazz band as well as a Mediterranean duo/trio. He also plays in the world music band Ottoman Slap. Matthew is also available as a solo saxophone player with backing tracks.
