Julian Bach
Julian Bach has performed around the globe as a session guitarist and vocalist in various groups and venues. He was born and raised in Somerset West and aspired to become a successful musician at a very young age. Living out his life long dream has been a reality for him for a few years now.
Recently, the road has brought him back to South Africa to sing his vibrant style of Rock & Pop.
His live show is comprised of playing a big repertoire of covers, including 70s, 80s & 90s Pop & Rock, Reggae, Latin and Jazz Standards as well as his original material.
Julian's debut solo album, Man On The Bicycle, was released in 2013 and harks back to the simplicity of youth and is punctuated by moments of nostalgia and wistfulness that only growing up can incite. From its opening track, Ride — with its rolling choruses and sing-along melodies — to the outlandishly eerie waltz, Ode To No One — right up until the closing track, the honest and anthemic Pirates On A Dead Sea.
He has released a new album, Heavy Breathing. This album is the result of a three year home recording adventure and is his most honest and insightful work to date, all while keeping the music creative, powerful and catchy.
Julian’s new music captures a quality of songwriting entirely unique to him. His writing is insightful, creative and sometimes a bit strange, but somehow still manages to sound familiar.
