Ezra Lingeveldt reached the Top 5 of the very first Idols in South Africa in 2001. He has spent time playing abroad since then, but now Cape Town is lucky to have him home.
As adept at beautiful background music as he is at keeping a dance floor packed and with a repertoire from jazz to modern classics, Ezra is the perfect choice for any function.
Ezra was nominated for an SA Music Award in 2005 in the Best Pop category. He was also nominated alongside fellow Idols participant Melanie Lowe, with whom he co-wrote and performed the theme song for Big Brother 2, Cabin Fever, which charted on radio stations around South Africa
Ezra describes himself as a musician and a singer and no wonder, he plays six instruments, guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, a bit of harmonica and a bit of saxophone. His debut album was called “Funk 'n Roll.”
This great entertainer crosses all genres and is a guaranteed crowd pleaser at restaurants, bars and functions, both corporate and weddings, birthdays etc
