Graham Burton Band

Graham Burton excels in both the blues and jazz genres and therefore we have The Graham Burton Jazz Band and Burton & The Blues, both featuring the considerable vocal talents of front man, Graham Burton.

Graham has been a regular performer on the Cape Town music scene for many years. He is equally at home in the jazz, soul and blues genres.

Graham’s backing band comprises keyboards, guitar, bass and drums and, between them, the musicians have many years’ experience gigging around Cape Town.

The blues repertoire includes several soul/blues standards, such as Little Red Rooster, Texas Flood, Boom Boom, Dimples, Double Trouble, Need Your Love So Bad, Bring It On Home To Me, I Would Rather Go Blind, Stand By Me and Black Magic Woman, as well as many others.

The jazz band features allyour favourite jazz standards including Making Whoopee, Let's fall in love, It had to be you, Come Fly with Me, Summertime, Mr Bojangles and many more.

The range of material covered allows the band to play pure blues sets, upbeat party sets, laid back jazzier sets, or a combination, so that a variety of venues and events can be accommodated.
